Jerry Garcia Handwritten Setlist - Grad

Jerry Garcia handwritten concert setlist in black marker on yellow lined paper, listing eight songs: "Stop That Train," "You Never Can Tell," "Lay Down Sally," "Dixie," "Evangeline," "Gomorrah," "Bread Box," and "Midnight Moonlight," with "Wonderful World" additionally written beneath the final entry. The handwritten setlist most closely corresponds to the Jerry Garcia Band's July 26, 1992 performance at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. The documented second set from that concert follows the same song sequence, with just one change: "Reuben and Cherise" was performed in place of the handwritten "Evangeline." The additional notation "Wonderful World" also corresponds to the concert's encore, suggesting this may have been a preliminary setlist prepared for that performance. The setlist was originally acquired with a June 21, 2000 letter signed by Billy Grillo, who states that he worked for the Jerry Garcia Band from 1980 to 1995 and collected memorabilia during his years with the group. Grillo describes subsequently framing and selling pieces from his collection, including items associated with fundraising for Kid Street Theatre. The setlist was previously framed alongside other Jerry Garcia Band collectibles. The original Grillo letter is not included in this lot, although a copy can be provided. Verified authentic as Jerry Garcia handwriting by autograph expert Steve Grad, certificate GA-12686, based on digital review. Estimate $2,000 - $4,000
