THE WORK - Instinto en Naranja (2025). Mixed media on two panels prepared with gesso and fabric scraps (120x100cm and 100x100cm). 120x200x4cm total measurements. - In this painting, a human figure dressed in an impeccable dark suit adopts the firm and confident posture of a leader, while its head — geometric, faceted, almost sculptural — represents that of a wolf. The fusion between the human body and the animal face creates a powerful metaphor about the duality between rationality and instinct, between what is socially accepted and the primitive that still dwells in us. The orange and luminous background, with warm nuances and gestural textures, contrasts with the cold tones of blues and violets in the wolf’s face, underscoring the tension between emotion and control. The fragmentation of the support adds a structural dimension that suggests the complexity of the contemporary individual, divided between multiple roles and masks. - Work signed by hand by the artist on the painting and on the back. - Unique edition. - Work from a new collection. - The artwork ships disassembled, with the two boards separated, very easy to assemble with two screws.
