Jewellery box - Hypnotic "Ramage" & Bird's-Eye Figure (No...

A masterclass in organic elegance, this solid Moroccan Thuya box celebrates purity of form and the untamed natural beauty of rare burl wood. Free from intricate surface marquetry, its design intentionally steps aside to let the raw, fiery grain and undulating figures of the root become the sole work of art. The Raw Material & Pure Grain Figure: Hypnotic "Ramage" & Bird's-Eye Figure: Sourced from the underground root system of the Atlas mountain cedar-thuya, the surfaces display a breathtaking landscape of dense eyelets, swirling flames, and deep amber-to-cognac marbling that catches the light with striking three-dimensional depth. Aromatic Heritage: Retains the subtle, lingering, and prized natural aromatic fragrance exclusive to authentic high-grade Moroccan thuya burl. Functional Lock & Key Charm: Fitted with a brass escutcheon, functioning lock mechanism, and an ornate turned-brass key adorned with a decorative navy blue passementerie tassel. Silky Mirror Polish: Meticulously hand-buffed to a deep, glass-like finish that enhances the timber's natural luster while providing a smooth, luxurious tactile feel. A Piece of History: In Essaouira's renowned cabinetmaking quarters, master craftsmen often choose the most dramatic burl cuts to remain completely unadorned, allowing nature’s decades-long organic sculpture to speak for itself. A unique opportunity for collectors of authentic, handmade artifacts. Please study the photographs carefully, as they represent the true character and condition of this unique piece. Your piece will be meticulously packaged and dispatched swiftly with trackable shipping.
