Jewellery box - Thuya, Lemon wood inlay - Unique handmade Marquetry

The Raw Material & Finish: Thuya Burl: Sourced exclusively from the underground root system, the wood exhibits a dense, hypnotic "bird's-eye" figure with glowing amber and deep cognac hues, releasing its characteristic warm, natural aromatic cedar-like scent. Refined Marquetry Border (French Era) : The top panel is elegantly framed by fine inlays of contrasting light lemon wood, creating a tailored, classical architectural border that accentuates the swirling grain of the central reserve. Lustrous Polish: Finished entirely by hand to achieve a smooth, glass-like sheen that catches natural light from every angle, balancing silky tactile appeal with durable protection. A Piece of History: Essaouira's tradition of marqueteurs and ebénistes has been celebrated for centuries across the Mediterranean. Fashioned without industrial shortcuts, this box highlights the unique personality of Moroccan burl wood, turning an organic forest gem into a timeless heirloom for jewelry, writing instruments, or cherished keepsakes. A unique opportunity for collectors of authentic, handmade artifacts. Please study the photographs carefully, as they represent the true character and condition of this unique piece.
