Jewellery box - Wood, Gold plated, ostrich egg - ostrich egg

Remarkably decorative ostrich egg – unique jewelry box / storage box for small treasures An exceptional and truly original decorative object, made from a real ostrich egg and transformed into a charming jewelry box or storage place for small valuables. The egg is richly decorated with great attention to detail. The exterior is in soft cream tones and finished with fine gold-colored ornaments, decorative borders and pearl-like details. On the front there is a colorful, hand-painted depiction of an 18th-century dressed figure with a birdcage, which gives the whole piece a distinctly nostalgic and folkloric look. The lid is hinged and on the inside beautifully lined with gold-yellow satin, allowing the egg to be used as a small treasure chest for jewelry, memories, small collectibles or other personal trinkets. The whole sits on an elegant dark blue wooden base. A very decorative and playful object that combines several styles: vintage, kitsch chic, chinoiserie and romantic curiosities. Precisely because of the combination of the natural ostrich egg, the rich decoration and the surprising function as a jewelry box, this is a true conversation piece.
