An unmarked solid 14kt yellow gold Royal Navy sweetheart badge, featuring a central fouled anchor surmounted by a Royal Crown and surrounded by finely pierced and engraved foliate motifs, accented throughout with numerous rose-cut diamond accents. The front is finished in an extremely thin layer or application of palladium, giving the face a white-metal appearance; the exact manner of application could not be determined without testing or potentially damaging the piece. Fitted with a brooch pin to reverse. Total approx. weight is 3.4 dwt (gross). From a Greenwich, CT estate. Dimensions: item measures approx. 1" in width.
