Pl, Please note this work is to be offered with no reserve. John Carter is a British artist known for his abstract sculptures and constructed wall-based works. Born in Middlesex in 1942, he studied at Twickenham School of Art and Kingston School of Art before travelling to Italy on a Leverhulme scholarship. His work combines sculpture and painting, often using geometric shapes and mathematical structures. Carter has, exhibited, widely in Britain and internationally, and was, elected, a Royal Academician in 2007.
