John Lennon limited edition color lithograph on BFK Rives paper titled He Tried to Face Reality from Dakota Days series, published in 1991 by Bag One Arts, Inc. as part of the series This Is My Story Both Humble And True. The minimalist composition features a line-drawn figure lounging on a cloud above the handwritten caption he tried to face reality. A yellow sun detail is inscribed with the artist's initials and date JL 79 in the plate. The work is hand-numbered 171/300 in pencil at the lower left margin, with a pencil signature by Yoko Ono Lennon and Lennon's chop mark seal in the lower right margin. The lithograph is housed in a black wood frame with a gold-leaf inner border and double archival matting. A Certificate of Authenticity is attached to the verso, identifying the atelier as Atelier GF and confirming the edition and signatory. Sight size: 20"W x 27"H.
