Jone Hopper - Jeune fille au vase ancien

Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist. Late in the 1980s, he did his “apprenticeship” on the streets through an emerging movement at the time, graffiti. He tags his name on the street, on walls and on trains. Recognized for his characters and his aerosol signatures, he created the collective TBS (The Brutal Style) with Skepa and a few other engaged graffiti artists. We know little about him because the artist remains faithful to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to stay anonymous, considering that it is the artwork that should be highlighted and not the person. Absent from social networks, absent from openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except for a few gallery owners in the confidences. He compares his painting to a piece of Hip Hop, drawing from Basquiat, Keith Haring, Picasso, Matisse, Andy Warhol or even Bacon, drawing from all artistic movements, from Modern to Contemporary, passing through Classical, he acts like a sampler… samples, cuts, assembles and thus creates new images. - Mixed media: aerosol, pastel and acrylic on canvas - With certificate of authenticity
