A Danish Baroque silver covered beaker, of slightly tapering form with domed lid, chased and embossed with flowers and foliage, body also with three cartouches in which hunting scenes, three spherical feet and lid knob, the rim engraved in Danish: To the Director of the Reading Society, the Reverend Provost Ravn, with esteem and friendship by his eternally obliged C. Schæffer. Maker Jørgen Stilche, Copenhagen 1687 and month mark F. Weight 410 g. H. 18 cm.
