Josep Sala Llorens, Poble 1986

Josep Sala Llorens (1928-2010). Lithograph on canvas, signed in the plate and by hand. Provenance: Sala Anquins, Reus. Minor imperfections due to age, see photos. The piece displays the artist's characteristic style, focused on urban and rural landscapes with a strong emphasis on textures, contrasts of light, and expressive brushstrokes. Two signatures are visible in the lower right corner. One is integrated directly into the plate or image with orange lettering, and just below it is the original handwritten signature in pencil. Numbering: In the lower left corner, the pencil notation "P/A" is visible, which stands for Artist's Proof (in Catalan, Prova d'Artista). This indicates that it belongs to a select series of copies that the creator reserves for personal use or quality control before proceeding with the numbered commercial edition. Style and Theme: The Artwork captures a traditional cobbled alley with a large architectural arch in the background, a recurring motif in 20th-century Catalan landscape Impressionism. Print dimensions: 37x42 cm; framed dimensions: 59x65 cm.
