Joseph Taylor - Serving spoon - .925 silver - Cheese scoop

Antique cheese-serving spatula in English sterling silver, made in Birmingham during the reign of George III, early in the nineteenth century. It features an elegant ivory handle tinted green and a construction characteristic of this type of specialized table utensil. The piece retains its original Birmingham hallmarks, including the maker's mark IT, attributed to Joseph Taylor. Designed for serving soft and semi-soft cheeses, it constitutes an interesting example of English Georgian table silver.
