Jouef Evolution - 1:18 - Ferrari 250 GT Berlinette Competizione 1961 - Gris Métallisé - "Mint in Box" Exceptional Stock-Neuf Condition AN EXTRAORDINARY STOCK-NEW PIECE FOR DISCERNING COLLECTORS: Attention purists and Ferrari Scuderia enthusiasts. You are bidding today on a collectible item in absolutely museum-quality condition. This miniature comes from the private collection of a renowned, adult connoisseur of the prancing horse brand, which constitutes a real guarantee of quality and traceability. The model is described as "Mint in Box" (Neuf de stock). It has never been exposed to daylight, dust, or tobacco atmosphere, and has not been handled. The car has only been removed from its box for the first time to take the photos for this listing. The presentation plinth, the original cardboard box, and its soft Rhodoïd transparent display case are in impeccable, like-new condition, preserving all the prestige of their 1990s factory release. The soft plastic film is perfectly transparent, without creases or opacification. Year of manufacture of the miniature: 1990s (manufacturer-era series) Exact catalog reference: 3012 The rarity of the Gray Metallic color: At the time, red was produced in vast majority (obligatory for Scuderia). Yellow versions and especially metallic gray were produced in more limited quantities. Today, collectors who already own the red version seek to complete their collection with these rarer color variants, which mechanically pushes up the value of the gray livery. EXCELLENCE OF THE MAKER & MATERIAL QUALITY: The Jouef Evolution range represents the golden age of the French manufacturer in the field of high-end collectible miniatures. Fully constructed in heavy die-cast metal at a 1:18 scale, this officially Ferrari-licensed series stands out for its assembly and painting finesse for its era. Each movable element is adjusted to the millimeter, offering a visually striking level of realism. DETAILS AND HISTORY OF THE MODEL The Real Car: A Circuit Legend The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinette Competizione (commonly known as SWB for Short Wheelbase) introduced in 1959 and achieving success in 1961, is one of the most important and expensive GT racing cars in automotive history. A formidable weapon for Scuderia in the Grand Touring category, it outclassed its rivals at the Tour de France Automobile and the 24 Hours of Le Mans thanks to its perfect balance and its legendary engine. The Miniature's Technical Fidelity Jouef Evolution brilliantly recreates Maranello’s masterpiece. The front hood opens to reveal a meticulous reproduction of the legendary 2,953 cm³ V12 Tipo 168 engine, fed by three Weber carburetors. Mechanical details, the radiator, exhaust system, and interior layout (wood three-spoke steering wheel, instrument cluster, 4-speed gearbox shift lever) are treated with remarkable historical accuracy. The bodywork, originally designed by Pininfarina and bodied by Scaglietti, retains its iconic curvy lines and faithfully reproduced wire wheels. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE PHOTOS The detailed photos in this listing are proof of the strictly mint and flawless condition of the miniature and its box. Please note that certain whitish reflections or bright lines visible in the images are solely due to light refraction during the shoot, particularly on the soft transparent display case. They are in no way defects, scratches, color deviations, or alterations to the bodywork or packaging. SHIPPING & PROFESSIONAL LOGISTICS • Ultra-secure shipping: A seasoned handling specialist for fragile items, the seller encloses the miniature in a thick bubble wrap film.
