Joyce Roybal (1955) - Les Musiciens

Superb original painting representing the universe of Joyce ROYBAL (born in 1955), a famous painter renowned for her naïve whimsical style and her round, cheerful characters affectionately nicknamed the “Puffy People.” The composition poetically depicts four little musicians playing their instruments in a colorful, rhythmic harmony: A joyful and playful universe: Stylized figures of children with naïve faces, characteristic of the artist's major themes (music, circus, and childhood). Texture & Relief: Working the paint with oil, featuring pronounced relief effects around the contours and clothing. Vibrant palette: A game of luminous colors (cobalt blue, green, brick red, ochre) enhanced with touches of gold. The work is signed directly on the canvas by the artist in the lower right corner “ROYBALLE” and bears the hand-painted label “ART NAÏF CONTEMPORAIN.”. Sold in its carved mahogany-effect frame with a gold edge, ready to hang. Excellent condition of the canvas and the paint layer. A slight spot on the canvas at the bottom of the yellow dress. Fresh and vivid colors. Very light signs of wear on the frame."}{}{}
