Hartford Sterling Company – Silver-plated copper water jug, circa 1900–1935, USA Elegant water jug attributed to Hartford Sterling Company of Philadelphia. Made from silver-plated copper, it features a tapered body, flared pouring lip with a beaded rim, an ornate scroll handle and leaf-decorated curved feet. The underside bears the maker’s marks and a triangular “SILVER ON COPPER” stamp. Visible scratches, tarnishing and wear to the silver plating, with copper tones showing through on the body.
