Kanto Toys - Tin toy - Tin friction "Pony Tail" Sports...

Up for auction is a very rare tinplate, friction powered Pony Tail Sports Car (No.3), made in Japan by Kanto Toys in 1960. Please check the Colorado license plate at the back of the toy. It is clear where the makers of this toy took their inspiration from: the car ressembles the Schuco Examico BMW. The toy is in superb condition with only some wear on two wheel hubs. The paint is still crisp and the chrome parts and bottom plate are still shiny. The friction motor works fine. It comes with its original box. The complete box worked well to protect this pretty model, but shows color fading and some "restoration" traces. The length of the toys is 15 cm. The pictures are part of the description.

Estimate:£2.53
