Kashmiri metal Kang shaped teapot, India, c. 1900. The tilted teapot, heavily decorated with snake panels, containing floral scroll, on a dense ground of further floral scroll, repeated on the spout. The body of the teapot is wrapped with two further heavily cast snakes, and has a snake handle. Having a hinged spout, similarly decorated, and having a large teardrop finial.
