All auctions / Contemporary Art / Kaws (1974) - ASTRO BOY (KAWS version) Grey
For sale one of the most iconic, rare and coveted pieces of contemporary Urban Art: the KAWS Astro Boy (Grey Edition) from 2012. Born from the official collaboration between KAWS (Brian Donnelly), Tezuka Productions and Medicom Toy, this sculpture reinterprets the legendary Osamu Tezuka character (Mighty Atom / Astro Boy), incorporating the artist’s renowned stylistic cues: eyes with the distinctive crossed “X”s, customized gloves, and the skeletal structures at the sides of the head. The Grey (Monochrome) version is considered among collectors to be the most elegant and sought-after variant of the entire series, capable of highlighting the sculpture’s three-dimensionality. Conditions and Authenticity Guarantee: Condition: The figure is in excellent condition / like new. The paint and vinyl finishes are maintained with obsessive care, free of discoloration or significant defects. Packaging: Complete with its original box in good condition and the inner protective blister. Authenticity Guaranteed: To ensure maximum transparency, the work has undergone independent appraisal and has been verified through the specialized LegitApp platform, with a digital certificate downloadable via QR Code or traceable with the Case ID: #3258321980629189 (outcome: AUTHENTIC). Under the soles there are the publisher’s official copyright markings. Safe Shipping: The item will be shipped with reinforced packaging in a double-box system to preserve the integrity of the original box.
