Kelmscott Press.- Morris (William) Love is Enough, or The Freeing of Pharamond: A Morality, [one of 300 copies on Perch paper], printed in red, blue and black with text in Troy type and stage directions in Chaucer type, wood-engraved frontispiece and illustration designed by Edward Burne-Jones and borders & initials by Morris, original limp vellum with silk ties, spine titled in gilt, upper cover with title incorporating fine contemporary illuminated initial L in red, blue, green and gold, upper corner of lower cover water-stained, uncut, [Peterson A52], large 4to, Kelmscott Press, 1897. *** One of only two books from the press to be printed in three colours. The Burne-Jones illustration at end was engraved for a projected edition about 25 years earlier, but not used until its inclusion here. Provenance: Thomas Ayscough Hodgkinson (bookplate).
