A classic of art that reincarnates into pure pop energy: RE..DAVID! is KIRAS’s answer to the need for color, irony and contemporaneity. The famous David frees himself from marble and is reborn in a velvet purple that does not seek attention… it demands it. Made in bioplastic through 3D technology – a plant-based, natural and sustainable material – the bust is then completely hand-worked by the artist: plastering, smoothing, polishing and finally the velvety flocking that gives that soft, vibrant, almost electric surface. The multicolored base completes the work with a contrast of vivid colors that makes it even more scenographic. KIRAS’s philosophy is clear: simple, sustainable materials, total artisanal workmanship and an aesthetic impact that leaves no escape. Each piece is born from the artist’s hands, not from mass production. For this reason the editions are always extremely limited: in this case only 20 copies worldwide. Whoever buys it takes home a work that isn’t “one of the many,” but a unique presence, almost unattainable. With dimensions of 24 × 16 × 15 cm, RE..DAVID is perfect on a design shelf, in a modern living room, in a creative studio or as a pop accent on a wall dedicated to contemporary art.
