Kiri Aguilera (1982) - XL - Elegancia con Galgo

Kiri Aguilera (1982) is a Cuban-origin artist, currently based in Spain, whose work is distinguished by a sophisticated visual language where contemporary abstraction, poetic figuration, and gestural expressiveness converge. Trained in professional art schools, her career reveals a solid academic foundation that is evident in the mastery of drawing, composition, and spatial construction of the canvas. On this technical structure, the artist has developed a distinctive, deeply recognizable style, in which line plays a leading role as a element of rhythm, tension, and visual narrative. Her acrylic-on-canvas production, entirely handmade, stands out for its vibrant chromatic richness and the presence of carefully balanced painterly layers. Color, far from being merely ornamental, acts as an emotional vehicle that transforms each work into a sensory, high-impact experience. Within her thematic universe stand out female figures, floral compositions, and stylized representations of animals, elements that the artist reinterprets through a language that oscillates between abstract synthesis and suggested figuration. Her large-format works — typically exceeding 100 cm — are conceived for spaces of strong aesthetic presence, forging a direct relationship with interior architecture and becoming true focal points within the environment. The delicacy of the stroke, the elegance of the lines, and the intensity of color contribute to each piece a contemporary, highly decorative visual identity, without losing conceptual depth or artistic value. Kiri Aguilera’s work is especially attractive to collectors and lovers of contemporary art seeking original pieces with strong visual presence, impeccable technique, and a distinctive aesthetic. Each canvas conveys refined sensitivity, where gestural energy coexists with compositional harmony, producing works of great sophistication, ideal for private collections as well as for curatorial spaces and high-end interior design projects. This acrylic-on-canvas work ventures into synthetic cubism and graphic pop art, depicting a stylized woman seated in a contemplative pose beside an elegant-profiled white greyhound. The central figure stands out with a characteristic pink headdress or hairstyle of volumetric shapes, wearing a mustard sweater fragmented into geometric facets and a green skirt adorned with white polka dots. The composition is articulated through the polygonal fragmentation of all its shapes, including a pink bag, vases, and striking floral arrangements on the left side, all bounded by precise dark outlines. The color palette creates a refined and dynamic contrast among greens, pinks, mustard, and whites, achieving a modern, sophisticated portrait with strong visual presence.
