Klaus Philipp (1932–2023), internationally known as “The Horse Painter,” ranks among the most significant horse and riding artists of the 20th century. His works fuse anatomical precision with an extraordinary ability to make movement, energy, and tension immediately visible. This graphic, signed and numbered by the artist himself, shows a dynamic gallop scene, captured with Philipp’s characteristic, restrained line work. The motif “With Verve at a Gallop” conveys the rider’s concentration and the horse’s powerful forward motion — a moment full of speed and athletic intensity. Printed on high-quality rag paper, the sheet possesses the tactile feel and durability of classical European printmaking. The artist’s handwritten notes lend the work additional authenticity and collector’s value.
