The Jordan 1 is not just a shoe: it’s a generational symbol, a piece of sport and urban culture history. Encasing it in a glass brick meant turning it into a relic, protecting it as one protects a museum piece, while reminding that every collection starts from a game. I chose an entirely gold version because I wanted the shoe to become almost a trophy, a precious object to contemplate rather than wear. The biggest challenge was handling the refractions of the glass pegs, which distort and enlarge the shoe like tiny lenses, without losing readability of its iconic form. I selected EMA Fine Art paper for its completely matte finish, which returns warm golds and deep blacks without any artificial glare.
