Krupp-Ernemann "Kinobox" - Rare portable suitcase cinema projector with original instructions - 1930s Stunning and extraordinary example of industrial and cinema archaeology: the Krupp-Ernemann "Kinobox", an iconic portable suitcase projector produced in Germany in the 1930s by the renowned Ernemann company (later merged into the Krupp-Ernemann group in Dresden). This piece represents a masterpiece of mechanical engineering and design of the era, conceived to be easily transported like a suitcase and to transform into a true itinerant projection booth. Main features and details that make the difference: All-in-One design: The device is integrated directly inside its original rigid black-tooled leather-covered case, with metal closures and details. Authentic period documentation: Inside the lid is preserved and perfectly readable the original German instruction sheet (Gebrauchsanweisung für den Krupp-Ernemann „Kinobox“), complete with technical drawings and usage instructions. An incredibly rare detail that hugely enhances the historical and collector value of the piece. Functionality Test and video: The projector has been successfully operated. To directly see the moving mechanics and ignition, you can view the dedicated demonstrative video at this link on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Zcg3xIn1EEc Condition note: The lens is missing, but the device is overall functional in its mechanical and electrical parts. Extraordinary brass gears, pulleys and original drive mechanisms that testify to the precision of pre-war German engineering. A museum piece, perfect for collectors of silent cinema, technical antiques, modernia, and wonders of vintage technology. A true piece of cinema history ready to become the focal point of any high-end collection. Careful shipping, tracked and with professional protective packaging.
