The first Tintin album 'Tintin in the Congo' is offered, in the third printing from 1949. The first printing dates from 1947. This third printing is listed in the Ottens catalog as 3.2 and can be recognized among other things by the back reading 'Ottens A49'. The print edition has two variants, one with copyright 1946 (Ottens 3.2a) and one with copyright 1947 (3.2b). Offered is the variant 3.2a with copyright 1946. Condition: very nice condition for this rare album. The cover, spine, edges and corners are very neat, with light (!) general wear. The outer corners are still quite sharp, the corners by the spine a bit dented. The block is in very nice condition with light reading creases and page discoloration.
