L. Cornaro - L’art de vivre longtemps et en parfaite santé

Fascinating edition of this text that reproduces and disseminates the principles attributed to Luigi Cornaro, the famous Venetian Renaissance author who made dietary moderation and lifestyle discipline the foundations of a long and balanced existence - Presented as a treatise on personal conduct as much as a reflection on hygiene, the text develops the central idea that longevity largely depends on mastering daily habits, particularly the quantity and quality of the foods consumed - Cornaro starts from his own experience, as it is traditionally reported, to argue that excessive eating, disorderly pleasures and habits contrary to measure progressively weaken the organism, whereas a disciplined life would preserve physical strength and intellectual faculties - L. Cornaro - The Art of Living Long and in Perfect Health, of Sobriety and Its Benefits - 1847 - Just Rouvier - XVI - 312 Pages. Good condition of the binding, work in its time half-basane, marbled boards, signs of wear, some minor defects on the cover, worn corners, speckled edges, smooth spine adorned with golden fillets, title and author name gilded - Good interior condition, light browning, flyleaves in fair condition, a pleasing copy - Delivery service assured within a few days -
