Rare and very beautiful glazed ceramic sculpture depicting a couple of bears made by the French manufacture L&V Ceram around 1955-1965. Founded in the 20th century, L&V Ceram stood out for the creation of high-quality glazed ceramic animal sculptures. The factory is particularly known to collectors for its representations of polar bears, but also for other animal subjects with clean and harmonious lines. Its productions, inspired by Art Deco aesthetics and French animal sculpture, are characterized by streamlined shapes and the use of magnificent crackled enamels, today highly sought after on the decorative arts market.
