Acquired in Haro, La Rioja, in 2016 and meticulously stored in a private cellar until today. Bottles in immaculate condition: featuring an excellent fill level, pristine cork and vibrant color. While it is fully mature and drinking beautifully now, it possesses the structural integrity to be cellared for a further 25–30 years. - Viña Ardanza 1973 Reserva Especial: During the 20th century, only two vintages of Viña Ardanza — 1964 and 1973 — were considered worthy of the prestigious “Reserva Especial” designation. This bottle is one of those exceptionally rare releases from the celebrated 1973 vintage. 95/100 Robert Parker: "The 1973 Reserva Especial is a brick/brown color with a splendid and remarkably complex perfume encompassing dried fruits, herbs, and other savories. Elegant but still with great depth and concentration, this silky offering is complete in every way. It is fully mature but shows no signs of old age. It seems to be universally acknowledged in Rioja that 1964 was one of the great vintages of the 20th century. Having been fortunate enough to have tasted several, I cannot argue". - 1950s La Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva: A real unicorn! A very rare bottle comes from the golden period of 1948 to 1964 in La Rioja. The wine is a blend of the vintages 1952 and 1955, both considered "Excellent" by the Regulatory Board of La Rioja. Every single vintage was vinified and matured in a wooden vat from the founding time of the winery (1890) for 18 months, and then aged separately in cask for 8 to 10 years. All wines were blended and finally bottled in the mid-60s and marketed only by purchase order directly from the cellar. 904 Gran Reserva is one of the foundational wines produced by La Rioja Alta winery. The very first 904 Grva and 890 Grva vintages were from the harvest of 1955. Before this year, both brands used to be vinified wth a blending of the best harvests. The production was limited to just a few thousand bottles. Over time, it is natural that sediment will form at the bottom of this wine. Sudden movements can cause the wine's color to become cloudy. It is recommended to store the bottle upright and allow any solid particles to settle by gravity to the bottom and clear the wine's color. *** All international parcels are shipped to the highest professional standards via premium UPS International Express, the courier’s fastest signature-required service.
