Ca. 700 - 500 BC. An iron oil lamp with a shallow rounded reservoir and tapering pinched nozzle. The rear is fitted with an arched handle in the shape of a stylised horned animal, with a long curving neck, tapering head, and a pair of backward curving horns. Two loops are set to either side of the handle. Size: 140mm x 90mm; Weight: 260g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970�2006.
