Beautiful 4/4 Saxon Stradivarius copy from the Markneukirchen region. The violin was built in the 1930s. The original varnish has been beautifully preserved. Also notable is the beautiful figured back plate in one piece. The tone is warm and powerful. The measurements are: Total length: 59.6 cm Scale length: 32.8 cm Body length: 35.8 cm Waist: 11.2 cm Width over the upper bout: 16.8 cm Width over the lower? upper bout: 21.0 cm Violin and bows described as 'certified' or 'accredited' include images of their certificates and therefore have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, provenance and age than instruments described as merely 'labeled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we do not provide any guarantee.
