Labradorite ring of fine quality

925 sterling silver ring set with a labradorite. Adjustable size. Delivered in its gift box. This 925 sterling silver ring (hallmark visible inside the band) features a labradorite cut as an oval cabochon, bezel-set on four prongs that lift the stone and reveal all its play of light. On a nuanced gray-green background, an electric blue flash runs through the cabochon and changes in intensity depending on the viewing angle — this is the famed labradorescence that makes this stone so charming. Labradorite is associated in crystal healing with protection and intuition: it is said to be a stone of transformation, helping to reveal inner strengths while preserving against negative energies. This unique optical phenomenon comes from fine internal lamellae that diffract light, somewhat like the iridescent colors of a beetle wing. The finest deposits are found in Madagascar, a land where this seemingly gray stone suddenly lights up with a blue fire worthy of a frozen aurora in the rock.
