Lanco Mod. 11 De Luxe – Small Seconds – 17 Rubis – 1950-1959 Manual winding – Chrome-plated case Lanco Mod. 11 De Luxe – Textured Waffle Dial – Small Seconds – 17-Jewel Swiss Mechanical Movement A charming vintage Lanco Mod. 11 De Luxe wristwatch from the 1950s, featuring an especially attractive textured “waffle” dial, warm applied hour markers and a classic small-seconds display at 6 o’clock. The silver-toned dial is the defining feature of this piece. Its finely textured geometric surface creates depth and changes character depending on the light, while the rose-gold-tone Arabic numerals and markers provide an elegant contrast. The separate small-seconds register completes the balanced mid-century design. The dial is signed LANCO – MOD. 11 DE LUXE – 17 RUBIS, while the movement is also signed Lanco and Swiss Made. Technical Details Brand: Lanco Model: Mod. 11 De Luxe Type: Men's vintage wristwatch / small seconds Case material: Chrome-plated metal Case diameter: Approx. 37 mm Glass: Acrylic crystal Dial: Silver-toned textured waffle dial Hour markers: Applied Arabic numerals and indexes, rose-gold tone Movement: Swiss mechanical manual-winding movement Jewels: 17 rubis Functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds Water resistance: Not tested for water resistance Strap: Generic brown leather strap, approx. 21-22 cm Box: Generic box included Condition: Grade B Condition Report This Lanco Mod. 11 De Luxe is presented in Grade B condition, with signs of age and use consistent with a vintage watch from the 1950s. The chrome-plated case shows scratches, small marks and areas of wear consistent with its age. The case back shows light surface scratches and signs of previous use. The textured waffle dial has developed an attractive natural vintage patina, with visible ageing and discoloration particularly around the outer perimeter. The applied numerals, indexes and hands retain their warm tone and contribute greatly to the watch's period character. The acrylic crystal shows normal signs of use. The generic brown leather strap remains visually appropriate to the vintage character of the watch. The watch has not been tested for water resistance; therefore water resistance is not guaranteed. Please study all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual condition of the item. Story & Heritage Lanco was a historic Swiss watch brand associated with the Langendorf Watch Company, one of Switzerland's important watch manufacturers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The company became known for producing reliable mechanical watches that combined solid Swiss engineering with attractive, accessible designs. During the mid-20th century, Lanco produced a wide variety of classic wristwatches, and models such as this Mod. 11 De Luxe capture the design language of the post-war era particularly well. The combination of a textured waffle dial, applied warm-tone numerals, small seconds and a 17-jewel manual-winding movement gives this watch considerable vintage charm. At approximately 37 mm, it also offers a notably wearable case size for a watch of its period. A characterful vintage Swiss timepiece for collectors who appreciate original-looking dials, traditional manual-winding mechanics and distinctive 1950s design. Internal Reference Number - FLO-183
