Cluster of Citrine Quartz from Brazil — An imposing and scenographic section of Citrine Quartz, sourced from Brazil’s rich deposits. This specimen stands out for its remarkable size and, above all, for its exceptional chromatic intensity that places it in the prized 'Madeira' category, the most sought after by collectors for its warm, deep tones that evoke the famous liqueur wine. The surface of the mineral is a dense, vibrant carpet of countless quartz crystals. Observing them up close, one appreciates their perfect pyramidal termination that captures and refracts light in a continuous sparkle. The overall shape of the druse shows a slightly undulating surface, an inheritance of its original botryoidal morphology inside the geode. Color is the true protagonist: a deep orange-amber saturation, almost fiery, with transparencies that allow light to penetrate and illuminate the crystals from within. The back and edges reveal the lighter rock matrix, which creates an elegant contrast and tells the geological story of the specimen. Citrine Quartz is a variety of quartz whose coloration is due to iron impurities in the crystal lattice. The formation of these druses occurs inside cavities, or geodes, in volcanic rocks, where silica-rich hydrothermal solutions slowly crystallize over millions of years. The Madeira hue is particularly appreciated and is seen in higher-quality specimens. Brazilian specimens are renowned for achieving these chromatic saturations with a strong visual impact. This specimen is not just a mineral for collectors, but a true object of natural history that serves as a sculpture created by nature. Its generous size and magnetic color make it an ideal focal point for any environment, from a professional study to a library, up to a contemporary living room. It is a piece that engages with space, carrying the Earth’s primordial energy and a rare aesthetic of beauty, perfect to enrich a modern Wunderkammer or to be displayed as a work of art in its own right. A piece of great scenographic presence, blending geological wonder with a decor-level impact of the highest tier. The brilliance of its crystals and the depth of its Madeira color make it a highly appealing lot for mineral enthusiasts and for those seeking a unique, natural design element.
