A large and highly decorative porcelain vase in the Satsuma Moriage style, dating back to the second half of the 20th century. The vase features a classic and vibrant palette dominated by a rich cobalt blue glaze and extensive gilt decorations. The body is finely adorned with traditional floral motifs and continuous geometric patterns outlined in gold relief (Moriage technique), complete with characteristic raised orange dotting. The neck is flanked by two prominent, stylized dragon/chimera handles entirely finished in gold. The underside of the base shows an unglazed foot rim, factory serial numbers, and remnants of a red export stamp typical of mid-to-late 20th-century Japanese decorative wares. The vase comes complete with its custom-fitted, dark-stained wooden display stand featuring five elegantly carved legs. Dimensions: • Vase Height: 46 cm • Maximum Diameter: approx. 20 cm • Wooden Base: 18 cm (Diameter) x 7 cm (Height) • Total Combined Height: approx. 51-52 cm Condition: In good overall vintage condition with signs of age and wear consistent with use. Light rubbing and fading to the gilt profiles and to the red factory mark on the bottom. The wooden stand shows minor surface wear. No major cracks, chips, or restorations detected. Please carefully review the high-resolution images as they form an integral part of the description.
