LARTIGUE (Pierre) — One Evening, Aragon… - Lot 148

LARTIGUE (Pierre) — One Evening, Aragon… Paris, Les Belles Lettres, 1995. “Architecture du verbe” series. In-8, paperback, white cover printed in blue and black with cold-stamped decoration, 156 pp. First edition. A narrative and collection of documents surrounding the famous evening of December 14, 1965, at the Théâtre Récamier, during which Aragon introduced six young poets: Jacques Garelli, André Libérati, Maurice Regnaut, Jacques Roubaud, Bernard Vargaftig, and Pierre Lartigue. The book notably includes previously unpublished texts by Aragon. A rare copy bearing on the half-title page an autograph dedication signed by Pierre Lartigue, extensively handwritten in blue ink, addressed to Pierre-Mary Buys (spelling of the surname to be confirmed), referring in particular to “three years before meeting him” and “Friendship.” The dedication is signed by Pierre Lartigue and accompanied by an additional handwritten note. This is clearly the most interesting feature of this copy. A good copy; the cover is slightly yellowed and soiled, with some marks and signs of wear from use; the interior is clean.
