lasveguix (1986) - BANKSY RAT & YAYOI KUSAMA Tribute

Canvas on a wooden frame, shredded posters, spray paint, Posca, 55x46 cm. Homage to Yayoi Kusama Original and unique canvas work handcrafted, straight from the studio. Ready to hang on the wall. Protected and fast shipping. LASVEGUIX French contemporary artist, Lasveguix develops a distinctive universe at the crossroads of street art, collage and contemporary painting. His work questions the memory of walls, the passage of time, and the poetry of the ephemeral, transforming urban scars into emotionally charged pieces. Initiated into graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, he forges his visual language in contact with the walls of Paris and London. His work sits within an artistic lineage where the great names of urban and contemporary art converse. One can sense the heritage of Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains in the art of the ripped poster, the sculptural power of Vhils, the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the silhouettes of Jérôme Mesnager, the poetry of Miss Tic, the urban memory of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the stencil of Jef Aérosol, the pixelated universe of Invader, and the iconic force of Shepard Fairey. Without ever imitating them, Lasveguix asserts a personal, immediately identifiable handwriting. Ripped posters, spray paint, acrylic, Posca and reliefs compose real 'skins of walls', where tears, superpositions and traces of time become witnesses to a collective memory. Each work reveals a dialogue between material, history and emotion, inviting the viewer to rediscover the beauty of what the city seemed to have forgotten. Lasveguix regularly exhibits in France and abroad. His works join private collections in many countries and reflect a growing interest from collectors. His career leads him to participate in art fairs, prestigious exhibitions and charity galas that bring together collectors, patrons and institutions. His work has notably been showcased at events organized at Roland-Garros, the District 13 Art Fair at the Hôtel Drouot, in Monaco, and at several iconic venues in the contemporary art scene. Through each of his creations, Lasveguix gives a second life to the remnants of the city. He does not represent the walls: he reveals their soul, making urban heritage, memory and creation dialogue in a work that is deeply contemporary and timeless.
