laura Muolo - Amelie la damigella

CONCEPT Opera -Amelie the bridesmaid - oil on primed cardboard 20x20 cm Under veils of linen and summer days, the bridesmaids lived the hours interwoven; each offered her best help, without asking for anything, guided by the heart. Those times are shadows that the wind cannot carry away, but flowers kept in melancholy NOTES ABOUT THE ARTIST Laura Muolo, born in 1975, a Milan native and Rimini resident by adoption. She began exploring art as a self-taught artist in 2013. Her starting medium is graphite, through which she immediately seeks the realism of faces, while later she approaches other media such as pastels and painting. She participates in numerous group exhibitions across Italy and internationally and also exhibits her works in important Italian museums. Her works are part of several private collections worldwide. Four solo exhibitions so far. She collaborated on the cover of a poetry book in 2015 and on the cover of a philosophy book in 2023. Winner and finalist in several art competitions, nationally and internationally. Laura describes her work thus: “I prefer oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image step by step, changing, smoothing, perfecting. Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to capture the subject’s essence immediately, in a direct and instinctive way. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions, and stories to decipher. My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene arises from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects, and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. Painting, for me, is a journey into the dimension of the unspoken.” Laura collaborates with the Ranarossa galleries in Modena and LoyeloArtGallery in Volterra ig: laura_muolo website: lauramuolo.com GENERAL INFORMATION: The work is varnished and shipped with a certificate of authenticity and packaged securely and professionally.
