All auctions / Contemporary Art / Le Yack - One Martini, One Lighthouse - Hand signed
A seaside bar, late in the evening. Behind the large glass wall, a woman in a white backless dress waits at the counter, her chin resting on her hand, in front of a martini. The bartender in a white jacket wipes a glass without saying a word. Outside, on the gravel, a red spider convertible waits, and in the distance a lighthouse sweeps the sea with its beam. We think of the “bar none of the bars in the world” from Casablanca, but also Virginia Woolf’s The Promenade at the Lighthouse: that point of light we watch without ever reaching. She does not turn toward the car. Not yet. The bar’s gold, the cabriolet’s red, the night’s marine blue: three colors for one story. (The interior visual is an AI visualization provided as an indication.) Artwork specifications: Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and back of the work. Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment-based printing for faithful reproduction of details and colors. Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered. About the artist: LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing on photography and cinema, he bends the codes of realism to inject a palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
