All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Le Yack - Petit-déjeuner avec l'océan – Signée – Édition limitée
In this intriguing and silent scene, LeYack captures a frozen moment in a diner overlooking the ocean in America. Two women in yellow dresses, almost twins, share the counter with a man in a dark suit. Each looks in a different direction, as if lost in their own world. The atmosphere recalls Edward Hopper's paintings, but here the Californian light replaces New York neon. The moment is suspended, bathed in a misleading calm, like the opening of a film where everything is about to tilt. With its stylized realism, narrative framing, and bold palettes, LeYack has placed this work in a very contemporary neo-realist line, where each element is as symbolic as it is graphic. Characteristics of the work: Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and back of the piece. Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment ink for faithful reproduction of details and colors. Edition: Limited to 10 copies, individually numbered. Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm. Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences. Authenticity: Comes with an authenticity certificate signed by the artist. Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition. About the artist: LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern storytelling with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story. Inspired by: Edward Hopper, Alex Katz, Gregory Crewdson, Mad Men / Matthew Weiner, American culture of diners and modern solitude
