Le Yack - The Long Goodbye Suite - Hand signed

Bright apartment with high sash windows, walls cream saturated with a milky light that bleaches the edges. Sprawled in a Scandinavian armchair with a teak frame and olive-green cushions, a brunette woman with short hair wears a large white shirt, open, with a loosened Scottish tie hanging from it; legs crossed, bare feet, she looks at the viewer with assured nonchalance. Behind her, a khaki sofa runs along the bay window. Semiotically, the male wardrobe worn directly on the skin performs a classic displacement of the iconography of desire: the borrowing, the next day, the ironic appropriation of the other's attributes. The entire palette — cream, khaki, olive, warm wood — is a subdued harmony only brightened by the whiteness of the shirt. The window’s blown-out light blurs the urban landscape and closes the scene in its intimacy. Flexible facture, fluid smudges, atmosphere of late morning.
