Liesens - only relax (Handpainted on canvas met lijst)

Antoine Liesens has built a strong international presence. His work transcends Belgian borders and is widely valued by collectors across Europe and beyond. The main international aspects of his art career are: 1. Cross-border exhibitions Although his base is in Antwerp, his work travels abroad regularly. He has, among other things, exhibited in France (such as his notable exhibition 'Sympathy for beauty') and is active within the Dutch art scene. In his earlier career as a furniture and interior designer in Maastricht, he gained international recognition with his clean, minimalist style. 2. Global sales via art platforms His paintings are traded intensively on large, international art and auction platforms: Artsper: a leading international platform for contemporary art. Artmajeur: where his works are offered worldwide online. Catawiki: his original acrylic paintings on canvas appear weekly in international art auctions, where they are eagerly bid on by international collectors. 3. Universal 'Transcontinental' style His work is internationally described as an expression of 'transcontinental hipness and glamour'. Because he portrays icons that are globally known (inspired by American pop art of Andy Warhol) and combines this with the universal, raw energy of the British-American rock and punk culture, his visual language appeals to art lovers worldwide. A54 Pop Art BV is the official gallery and home base of the Belgian pop art artist Antoine Liesens. The gallery is located in Antwerp. From this location the artist showcases and sells his recognizable, colorful works.
