The Taru Sofa by Ligne Roset, designed by Sebastian Herkner, is a sculptural design that reimagines the traditional settee through a lens of organic fluidity and tactile comfort. Its broad base platform provides a grounded and low-profile aesthetic, whilst the design philosophy centers on the concept of enveloping relaxation, utilizing a unique, asymmetrical backrest that curves gracefully around the seat to offer both physical support and a sense of visual shelter. Upholstered in a richly textured bouclé fabric, the plushness of the rounded form is thoughtfully balanced by a solid internal structure that maintains the sofa’s precise, pebble-like silhouette. The Taru is refined by its harmonious mix of convex and concave lines, reflecting contemporary design principles centered on comfort and restraint. This silhouette achieves a rare balance of bold, monumental scale and a soft, inviting presence, perfectly embodying the spirit of conversational luxury. Condition Notes: The sofa is in very good condition, with no signs of wear or fading to the fabric.
