Limited Edition 7/25 Santa Lucia – Light of Faith / Print...

“Santa Lucia – Light of Faith” is an intensely spiritual work dedicated to Saint Lucia, one of the most recognizable and beloved figures of the Christian tradition, a symbol of light, purity, courage and fidelity to the faith. The Saint is portrayed at the center of the composition with an absorbed expression and gaze lifted upward, as if immersed in a dimension of prayer and contemplation. The head, softly covered by a veil and surrounded by a luminous halo, underscores the sacred nature of the scene, while the composed and serene posture communicates inner firmness and total trust in the divine. In her right hand Saint Lucia holds the palm of martyrdom, a traditional symbol of spiritual victory and of fidelity to Christ upheld even to the sacrifice. In the other hand she supports a plate on which two eyes are depicted, an iconographic attribute that immediately identifies the Saint and recalls popular devotion that regards her as the protector of sight. These elements transform the portrait into a devotional representation rich in meanings, in which light assumes a value that is both physical and spiritual. The composition is set in a compact and elegant architectural space. Behind the Saint appear columns, arches and a sacred figure inserted in the wall, while a vase of lilies calls to mind purity and innocence. The lateral opening toward the landscape and the small lit flame introduce additional references to light, creating a subtle dialogue between the earthly world and the transcendent dimension. Realized in a refined grayscale scale with deep sepia reflections, the work captivates with the richness of the stroke and the rendering reminiscent of an ancient devotional engraving. The contrast between the illuminated areas of the face and the halo and the deep shadows of the surrounding environment concentrates the gaze on Saint Lucia, granting her a solemn, intense and timeless presence. “Santa Lucia – Light of Faith” is not merely a decoration, but a true devotional image, capable of evoking protection, hope and spiritual strength. It is a particularly meaningful work for those who have devotion to Saint Lucia and for those who wish to introduce into their spaces a sacred presence symbolically linked to light, to sight and to perseverance in faith. At the bottom right there is a seal in intense red wax, a distinctive detail that adds personality to the work and creates a refined chromatic contrast with the sober tones of the composition. This element further enhances the piece, giving it a recognizable, intimate and sought-after character. - Composition: 55% PU (Polyurethane), 20% Polyester, 5% Cotton, 20% Real Leather Fibers - Materials compliant with REACH regulations, environmentally friendly and free of harmful substances - Unframed artwork - Packaging and shipping: the work will be shipped rolled on a rigid cardboard support to ensure maximum protection.
