Lladro Limited Edition Gres Sculpture, The Kiss 01001871

Large-scale Spanish sculpture produced by Lladro, titled The Kiss, after the painting by Gustav Klimt. The figures of a man and a woman are depicted in a kneeling embrace, rendered in matte bisque porcelain skin tones. Their garments and the surrounding cloak are finished with various glazes in shades of teal, ochre, peach, and pink, detailed with geometric blocks, spirals, and floral wreaths. The underside of the base features a blue printed mark consisting of a stylized bell flower above LLADRO HAND MADE IN SPAIN. The base also bears handwritten black ink inscriptions reading Escul. Antonio Ramos, Decor. J. Ruiz, and 593 of 1000. A small circular white adhesive label with the printed characters 325 04 is affixed to the base. One piece total.
