Longcase clock - Antique Wood, Brass, Bronze - 1780–1820 - Sa. Gillies, Kilsyth

A stately grandfather clock, or longcase clock, dated circa 1780, with a movement by S.A. Gillies from Kilsyth in Scotland, once a center for clockmakers. The movement was overhauled in 2020 by clockmaker Peter Mesu from 's-Hertogenbosch. The clock consists of original parts and looks neat. Notable is the Freemason symbol on the pendulum. The glass in the door may still be original. With a height of 222 cm, it stands well in a hall or stairwell. The clock is on the first floor and can be transported in 3 parts (lower cabinet, movement case and movement).
