This L4.799.3 features a round case of approximately 35.5–36 mm, giving the watch a traditional and relatively understated size. The case is finished in polished stainless steel and paired with a gold-colored bezel. The stepped bezel gives the watch a distinctly classic appearance and harmonizes with the gold elements of the bracelet. The provided photos show clear signs of wear, mainly on the gold-colored bezel. It exhibits scattered light scratches and small signs of use. The polished steel parts of the case also show light scratches consistent with normal wear. The case shape and lugs otherwise appear neatly preserved, with no major dents or severe damage visible. ────────────────── Dial The champagne-colored dial is a striking feature of this piece. The surface has a fine radial sunburst finish, causing the color to vary from light champagne to a warmer gold-toned hue depending on the light. Below 12 o’clock sits the LONGINES inscription and the familiar winged hourglass logo. Above 6 o’clock is the AUTOMATIC designation. Hour positions are marked with diamond indices in small square settings. At 12 o’clock there is a double diamond index, while the other positions—except for the position of the day/date window—have individual diamond indices. The gold-colored hour and minute hands have a slim, classic design. A very thin central seconds hand completes the time indication. At 3 o’clock is a combined day and date window. In the provided photos, TUE 24 is displayed. Below the dial is SWISS. The dial itself appears very clean in the photos. There are no noticeable stains, heavy discolorations, or damages. ────────────────── Movement Type: Automatic mechanical Caliber: Longines L636.5 Base caliber: ETA 2836-2 Functions: Hours, minutes, central second, day and date The automatic movement is visible through the transparent case back. On the rotor you can clearly see the markings L636.5 and Longines. The ETA 2836-2 forms the base of this Longines caliber and is an automatic movement with central seconds and a combined day/date function. The gold-colored rotor provides a nice visual contrast with the otherwise silvery components of the movement. No timegrapher measurement is provided. Therefore, the exact running deviation, amplitude, and beat error cannot be determined from the photos. ────────────────── Day- and date display The watch features both day and date displays. Both functions are combined in a single elongated window at 3 o’clock. The day indication is on the left and the date on the right. In the photos it shows TUE 24. This configuration is characteristic of the L636.5 caliber and gives the watch, in addition to its classic appearance, a practical daily function. ────────────────── Diamond dial This piece is equipped with diamond hour markers instead of the more common baton indices. The diamonds are individually set in small square metal settings. The 12 o’clock position is identified by a double diamond setting. Together with the champagne sunburst dial and gold-colored details, this gives the Flagship a more luxurious look than standard versions with simple indices. ────────────────── Back The case back features a large transparent viewing window allowing the automatic movement to be seen. The rotor bears the Longines inscription and the caliber designation L636.5. Around the window is a polished metal rim with engravings. In the photos there are light superficial signs of wear on the steel parts of the back. The transparent portion appears clear enough to view the movement well. ────────────────── Crown The crown is made of stainless steel and has a grooved outer edge for grip when setting the time, day and date. The outside is engraved with LONGINES. The crown shows light signs of wear in the detail photo but otherwise appears neat and appropriate for the watch. ────────────────── Band The watch is fitted with the original bi-colour Longines metal band. The bracelet consists of several narrow links, combining polished stainless steel with gold-colored centers. This keeps the two-tone design of case and bezel running through the entire bracelet. The bracelet features an original integrated Longines butterfly/fold clasp. Both LONGINES and the winged hourglass logo are clearly present on the clasp. On the polished steel and gold-colored links there are normal superficial signs of wear and light scratches. In particular, the gold links show more evident signs of wear in some places. Based on the supplied size image, the current band appears suitable for a wrist circumference of approximately 18.5–19 cm. ────────────────── Condition Case: Nice used condition with light superficial scratches and signs of wear. Bezel: Clear superficial wear and fine scratches visible on the gold-colored finish. Dial: Champagne sunburst dial in neat condition. Diamond indices: All visible diamond hour markers appear present. Hands: Gold-colored hands in neat used condition. Crystal: Appears clear without obvious heavy scratches or damage. Crown: Signed Longines crown present with light signs of wear. Back: Transparent case back with light normal signs of wear on the polished parts. Movement: Automatic Longines L636.5 visible through the case back. Band: Original bi-colour Longines band with normal to clear superficial wear. Clasp: Original Longines butterfly clasp with light superficial scratches. ────────────────── Included items Longines Flagship Automatic reference L4.799.3 Original bi-colour Longines metal bracelet Original Longines butterfly/fold clasp Longines presentation box as seen in the photos Papers or guarantee card are not visible in the provided photos and are therefore not listed as present. ────────────────── Overall condition A classic Longines Flagship Automatic Day-Date in a more upscale bi-colour variant with champagne sunburst dial and diamond hour markers. With a case diameter of about 35.5–36 mm, it embodies the traditional size typical of classic Longines dress watches. The combination of polished stainless steel, gold-tone accents, diamond indices, and the champagne dial gives the watch a distinctly elegant appearance. Cosmetically, the piece appears in nice used condition based on the supplied photos. Normal wear is present, with especially the gold bezel and some gold links showing more pronounced wear. The dial, diamond indices, and crystal look very well maintained. The L636.5 automatic caliber is visible through the transparent case back and offers the usual time display along with a practical day-and-date function.
