Series of 1935D $1 Silver Certificate Front & Back Specimens A Great Specimen Rarity Lot of (2) Fr. 1613s1 & 1613s2. 1935D $1 Silver Certificates. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ to 64 EPQ. Front & Back Specimens. Nothing short of a great rarity that escaped government hands. Bidders have a truly rare opportunity here for their consideration and bids. Likely prepared during the late 1940s during Truman's second term as President, this lot affords collectors the chance to consider a "Front Specimen" and "Back Specimen" that provides an overall mockup of a $1 Silver Certificate issued under the Series of 1935D. Here one is notably met with the trappings of what a "Specimen" entails. Looking to the left and right, the signature panels provide succinct testament to perhaps the most notable aspect of the visual calculus save for the lack of engraved back design. Emblazoned "*00000000*," this serial number merely represents a placeholder that betrays the non-negotiable nature of this item while the "Back Specimen" offers no such trait. Yet both Specimens are printed on their backs with "NOT NEGOTIABLE" printed several times along the margins eliminating further need for further warnings or admonitions that would safeguard these notes from being spent and circulated in commercial channels. Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000.
