Oval enamelled en plein in the center of the cover and the base with grisaille scenes of courting lovers after François Boucher's Le Berger Recompens é and L'Agréable Leçon , each in a foliate frame topped on the cover with a bird feeding her chick, the outer rim chased with medaillons centred by a rosettes enamelled in translucent green and interspersed with foliate sheaf, the sides decorated with four medallions enamelled en grisaille with children and held by laurel garlands on sabl é ground flanked by columns and musical trophies, marked in cover and base with charge, date-letter (D) and maker; on side: charge and maker; on flange: décharge; engraved on flange with workshop number 115 Size/Dimensions: 8,2 cm. (3 ¼ in.) long Gross weight: 198 gr. (6 oz. 3 dwt.)
