Loupe - Ancienne de l'horlogerie de précision pliante

Old folding precision magnifier with two lenses, probably dating from the first half of the 20th century, around 1900–1940. This pocket optical instrument was intended for observing and examining small objects, notably in the fields of watchmaking, jewelry, numismatics, and precision work. It features an articulated structure, composed of several circular folding elements, including two visible magnifying lenses, allowing different observation configurations. Compact and practical format, with rivets and a folding system to protect the lenses when stored. A fine old optical instrument presenting an authentic patina, signs of use and light scratches related to its age. Overall condition as shown in the photographs, magnifications not determined. Rare and decorative item, highly appreciated by collectors of antique scientific instruments (compass, drafting compass, telescope, magnifier, sextant).
