Luxurious Vintage Necklace with Tahitian Pearls and Diamonds in White

Tahitian pearls are among the most sought-after and luxurious pearls in the world. They are considered the epitome of luxury not only because of their size but also because of their natural, mesmerizing colours. Cultivating them requires special care: They are produced exclusively in the warm, crystal-clear lagoons of French Polynesia, on atolls and archipelagos, where the delicate black-lipped oyster (Pinctada margaritifera) finds ideal conditions. Only this species of oyster produces those unique, dark gray to deep black pearls. Two particularly beautiful Tahitian pearls, each with an impressive diameter of approximately 14.9 mm, have been set in a luxurious necklace. The dark-gray pearls have an almost flawless surface with very good luster. These treasures of the sea are accompanied by four baguette-cut diamonds, set in understated white gold settings. The interplay of round and angular shapes, black and white, velvety sheen, and star-like brilliance lends the piece of jewellery a highly modern feel despite its minimalist design. A long, flat curb chain in white gold makes this modern design easy to wear. This well-preserved piece of jewellery came to us from a prominent Stuttgart collection.
